On 22 April 2026 Dorset Council announced that:

The Marnhull Neighbourhood Plan was ‘made’ part of the development plan for the parish of Marnhull by Dorset Council on 21 April 2026. This means it can be used to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The independent examiner’s report was received on 6 January 2026 and the referendum took place on 19 March 2026. The majority voted in favour of the plan.

Dorset Council’s decision to make the plan was made under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
